fly.

there's no place like home.

 home is where the heart is.
where your soul lives and thrives.

i hate having to live out of a suitcase.

but there's something captivating about it;
when you open it up and you have a limited number of things,
not set out as awesomely as it is in your room,
but chaotic and out of order,
you can't help but be satisfied.

it's like an awakening;
"congratulations! you made it."
"you've left home and the world is within reach."
"you don't have to be bound to the old."

follow my heart over my head.
it shouldn't be that hard.
but it's risky, it's uncomfortable, it's different.
bird's do it everyday.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life,
what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.
Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
Look at the birds of the air;
they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not much more valuable than they?
Matthew 6:26-28

they leave home when they're young,
not even as confident fliers.
yet they take off into
the unknown.

the nest that was your childhood shelter is now just that
and who knows where and what you might find suitable as your
home sweet home

take me back home,
Malaysia, you're cool and all,
with Topshop, Forever 21, and scrumptious food
BUT
i can't understand you most of the time.

the best.

God just put on the BEST night ever at Hutt Elevate.

the praise and worship. the best.
the preaching. the best.
the pillows. the best.
the new people. the best.
the biggest lifegroup attendance. the best.
the amount of changed kids, receiving in awaken. the best.

it'd be cool to just sleep under the stars
on a pile of comfy, insect-free pile of leaves
with a sweet little bonfire and a huge duvet
a good supply of marshmallows and hot chocolate
under a draping canopy of tree tops
with balloons and lanterns hanging in the trees
then to wake up in the morning to the scent of blooming flowers
with the rising of the sun
the awakening of the birds and their melodies
no need to worry or stress about school
to just bask in God's beauty, creation and glory

my God, you're simply the best.

limitless.

passion.

it's more than a rush, more than hype. it's not just an emotion.
it's consuming.
it's beautiful.
it's revitalising.
it's life-changing.

after Passionate this weekend, it's hard to have not left the conference more passionate about God, about school, about the young kids that so desperately hunger for Him but are starved, about injustice, about NZ, about the world.

life's too short to serve a God with limits.
He's a limitless God, so treat Him like One;

BELIEVE
TRUST
SURRENDER

wow, to have child-like faith is like my number one dream.
why not?
why not ask God to
heal, save, rescue,
infiltrate, destroy, rebuild?
to take away, to give,
to feed, to clothe,
to warm, to comfort?

He can.
I can't.
I need Him;
a vulnerable, weak and dependent child
in need
of an abundant, providing, loving Father.

flip, i hate trying to do it all myself.

goal:
DREAM
TAKE A RISK,
A LEAP OF FAITH
DON'T BE AFRAID OF FALLING
EMBRACE CHALLENGE AND FAILURES
