sailing.

we're adrift on a sailboat
my love is the sea
yours is the horizon;
constant and steady

you set my land-locked heart afloat
lifted my lonesome sail

the tide is out
the moon is high
we're sailing

i'd like to go sailing.
would like to be carried away by the wind.
like to ride the waves.
to cast an anchor.
to catch a fish.
to climb the rigging.
to break the water's surface.
to wake up to a never-ending expanse of blue.
i'd like to have a hook as a hand.
to wear nautical colours all the time.
to have an eye patch.
to have salt-drenched hair.
to be spontaneous and set off.
and to approach a new land.

lucky life as a pirate.

arithmetic.

getting back my stats test today
made me realise how much i suck at maths.

it's just one more year of being an arithmetic mess.
it gets me excited thinking about life after school.
i think i'm anticipating it too much.
not that it's in chronological order or anything -

have a beautiful encounter with Jesus. everyday.
be a greater friend, daughter, sister, leader.
cry more often.
smile all the bigger.
pay off my layby for my ball shoes.
buy a ball dress.
make a feather headdress.
wear a feather headdress.
pass my restricted.
learn an instrument.
write dozens of spesh songs.
pass level 3.
with excellence.
work at a beautiful shop to
earn enough money so i can
get out of Wellington and
head to the Big Apple.
attend Hillsong NY.
study photography in a NY university.
take millions of frame-worthy photos.
do an internship at charity: water.
purchase a vintage bike to get around NY.
join the senior staff at charity: water.
find perfection in the hands of a quality guy.

follow His way.
seek Him with all my heart.
dig down deep and let the secret surface.
be transparent before His majesty.
hunger for Him day after day after day after day.
learn to trust Him.
surrender my all at His feet.
fall and fall and fall more in love with His incomparable being.

Come let Your glory arise.
And shine as the nations collide with Your story.
Love overtaking our lives.
Arise as our hearts come alight with Your glory.
